UCLA HAcK: Maze Bot
Main features included:
Three forms of communication with the robot:
-Using a custom built controller
-Via Bluetooth where python script was used to send command through serial communication
-Autonomously where the robot utilized the ultrasonic sensors to traverse the maze.
Custom website made using CSS and HTML to showcase the project to a panel of judges.
Custom controller design and 3D printed.
Before transferring to UCLA in 2021 as an undergrad, I entered a HAcK competition where incoming engineering transfer students competed to make a robot able to traverse a maze.
Goal: Traverse a maze carrying a payload. At the end of the maze, drop the payload.
I, along with 2 other incoming students of UCLA, built this robot. It utilized DC motors, ultrasonic sensors, Arduino nano, etc to function.
Result: My team secured second place in the competition.
