Goal: Fabricate a custom blimp that utilizes ESP32cam/ESPeye/OpenMV to recognize balloons suspended in air. Capture the balloon using some mechanism. Score a goal by sending the balloon through a goalpost.
I worked with 2 other students in the UCLA LEMUR lab. I mainly worked on designing and 3D printing motor mounts and electronic chassis.
I also prototyped a creative pulley mechanism to capture balloons suspended in air. The mechanism used fish nets, nylon wire, custom 3D printed pulleys, and servo motors.
I also soldered all the electronics components and tested them before use which included ESP32, ESP32cam, batteries, brushless motors, etc.
